Why boiling point of alcohols are greater than aldehyde or ketone having comparable molecular weight?

Alcohols have O-H bonds. So they are able to form intermolecular hydrogen bond. Alcohols remain associated by hydrogen bond. Hence they require very high energy to isolate themselves from each other.

But in case of aldehyde and ketones, they can't form hydrogen bond. They are held together by dipole dipole interaction which is much weaker than hydrogen bonding interaction. So, breaking of these types of interaction required comparatively less energy.

Hence, boiling point of alcohols are greater than aldehyde or ketone though they have comparable molecular weights.
